Role Overview: As a Content Sourcing & Publishing Intern, you will play a key role in identifying, curating, and publishing timely news content for our platform. The ideal candidate is a Mass Communication student or recent graduate with a passion for journalism and storytelling. This is a hands-on internship where you will gain experience in news sourcing, content selection, and publication processes. Key Responsibilities: Content Sourcing: Identify and source relevant news stories across various categories (e.g., current affairs, technology, lifestyle, etc.) from trusted sources. Shortlisting & Curating: Review and prioritize news stories to create a concise selection of high-impact content, aligning with our audience's interests. Content Publishing: Use publishing tools to share the selected news stories with users, ensuring timely and consistent updates. Editorial Coordination: Collaborate with editorial team members to ensure content quality, accuracy, and relevance. Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on the latest news trends to ensure timely reporting on relevant stories. User Feedback & Analytics: Engage with user feedback and monitor analytics to understand content performance and refine sourcing and publishing strategies. Qualifications: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Mass Communication, Journalism, or related program. Strong understanding of news, media ethics, and the role of journalism in society. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Familiarity with digital publishing tools or content management systems (e.g., WordPress, CMS platforms) is a plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
