Institute of Management Studies (IMS), a premier institute of Business Management, was established on 21 August 1969, under the aegis of the University of Indore as the Management education wing of the university. It was named as Department of Business Management in 1974 and was granted the status of Institute of Management Studies in 1988. Over a period of time IMS has earned a reputation for academic excellence in providing industry driven and quality academic programmes in the field of Management.

While IMS DAVV has not been individually ranked in the NIRF Management category, its affiliation with DAVV and consistent performance in national rankings underscore its commitment to quality management education.

Placement &Training

It has an active Training and Placement (T&P) Cell that bridges the gap between students and industry. The cell coordinates internships, industrial visits, and training programs, enhancing students' employability. In the 2023 placement drive, 311 offers were made by 50+ recruiters, with top companies like Deloitte, Aditya Birla Group, HCL, and ITC. The highest salary offered was INR 18.5 LPA, and the average was INR 6.16 LPA.
